Getting Started

Pubdish is a selective, invite-only music distribution partner for serious artists and labels ready for global release. Unlike open-to-all platforms, we carefully review each application to ensure quality. We distribute your music to 150+ platforms worldwide including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, TikTok, and more - all while you keep 100% of your royalties. We also provide YouTube Content ID and Facebook Rights Management at no extra cost.

Submit your application through our online form with information about your music, previous releases, streaming statistics (if any), and your distribution goals. Our team reviews all applications within 1-12 hours. If you qualify, we'll send you a partnership agreement and create your account to begin distributing your music globally.

We look for artists and labels who demonstrate professionalism, quality production, and commitment to their music career. You should have original music ready for release, own all rights to your content, and be prepared for global distribution. Previous streaming experience is helpful but not required - we also welcome emerging artists with strong potential.

Distribution & Release

We distribute to 150+ platforms worldwide including all major streaming services: Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal, Pandora, iHeartRadio, SoundCloud, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and many more. We continuously add new platforms to ensure your music reaches every possible audience.

After we review and process your release (typically 1-12 hours), distribution to platforms takes 3-7 business days on average. Some platforms like Spotify and Apple Music may appear sooner (2-3 days), while others may take up to 2 weeks. We recommend submitting releases at least 2-3 weeks before your planned release date for optimal timing.

Audio: WAV or FLAC format, 16-bit/44.1kHz minimum (24-bit/48kHz recommended). Artwork: JPG or PNG, 3000x3000 pixels minimum (perfect square), RGB color mode. Files must meet professional quality standards with no distortion, clipping, or audio artifacts. All metadata (artist name, track titles, ISRC codes) must be accurate and complete.

Yes! We support all release types: singles (1 track), EPs (2-6 tracks), albums (7+ tracks), and compilations. There's no limit to the number of releases you can distribute once you're a Pubdish partner. You can also schedule future releases and manage your entire catalog through our platform.

Royalties & Payments

Revenue sharing depends on whether you're an Artist or a Label:

Artists (Individuals):

• 100% of all streaming revenue (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc.)
• 85% of Content ID + Facebook Rights revenue
• Unlimited song/album distribution
• 3-5 day review time

Labels (Managing Multiple Artists):

• 100% of all streaming revenue
• 90% of Content ID + Facebook Rights revenue
• Unlimited distribution for entire roster
• 1-12 hour review time (including weekends, except holidays)

Royalties are paid monthly via PayPal. Your first payment arrives 3 months after you start earning, then monthly payments follow. Minimum payout is $50 USD. Track your earnings in real-time through your dashboard with detailed breakdowns by platform, territory, and song.

Absolutely! Your Pubdish dashboard provides comprehensive analytics including: total streams by platform, geographical breakdown by country and city, listener demographics, revenue reports, playlist placements, and trending data. All data is updated regularly so you can monitor your music's performance in real-time.

Content ID & Rights Management

YouTube Content ID automatically scans all videos uploaded to YouTube and identifies when your music is used. When a match is found, you can choose to: monetize the video (earn ad revenue), track its views and statistics, or block it entirely. This protects your copyright and ensures you earn money even when others use your music in their videos - completely free with Pubdish.

Facebook Rights Management protects your music across Facebook and Instagram. Similar to YouTube Content ID, it identifies when your music is used in posts, stories, reels, and videos across both platforms. You can monetize this usage, track engagement, and control how your music is used on social media - all included free with your Pubdish partnership.

Yes, always! You maintain 100% ownership and control of your master recordings and copyrights. Pubdish only acts as your distribution partner - we never claim ownership or exclusive rights to your music. You're free to license your music elsewhere, use it in sync deals, or remove it from distribution at any time.

Yes. You can request takedown of any release at any time through your dashboard. Removal typically takes 7-14 days as platforms need time to process the request. Note that once removed, you'll lose the streaming links, playlist placements, and accumulated listener data. We recommend carefully considering before removing actively performing releases.

Support & Technical

All Pubdish partners receive dedicated email support from our team. We assist with distribution questions, technical issues, metadata corrections, analytics interpretation, and payment inquiries. Average response time is 24-48 hours on business days. We also provide comprehensive guides, tutorials, and resources in our help center.

Yes! We can help you migrate your catalog from other distributors. You'll need to provide your original audio files, artwork, and metadata. Important: To maintain streaming counts and playlist placements, you must use the same ISRC and UPC codes from your original release. Contact our support team for guidance on smooth catalog transfers.

If your initial application doesn't meet our current criteria, we'll provide constructive feedback on areas for improvement. You're welcome to reapply after 3-6 months once you've addressed our feedback. We encourage emerging artists to continue developing their craft and building their catalog before reapplying.

Absolutely! We work with independent labels to distribute their entire roster. Label accounts can manage multiple artists, each with their own releases and analytics. You'll have centralized billing and reporting with individual artist breakdowns. Contact us about our label partnership program for volume distribution needs.
